i have been waiting for the supplies to make this bracelet. i finally got them and made 7 bacelets with different swarovski cubes. i lent 1 to vee to take to jamica, and i sold another to derica. looks like this will be a big seller.

it's been a very long time. i've started working with gold for my bangles! got into Centennial H.S. craft show! sold a couple $50 bracelets! and gotten into almost all the juried shows!

it only took 1 day to finish this bracelet after waiting a month for supplies. i think it was worth the wait. and now i ready to promote myself to 3 spirals on "step by step wire jewelry".

i just did the SMALLWOOD FESTIVAl. the table was inexpensive so i made 5 times the cost of the table. but it was a flea market/antique market/craftshow. i had thought the major factor was not being a craft show. not so.

but i did learn that accepting carge cards was a good move. my larger sales both involved the charge card.

after weeks of fighting with this, blog, i was finally able to log on!

much has happened since i last posted. i had 2 very successful shows and have done many variations of the zig-zag bracelet. here is 1 version along with matching earrings.

i finally am done with this bracelet. after wearing it almost constantly for a week, i decided to try selling it. it looks great with both dressy and casual clothes. if it sells, i'll order the supplies and make it again for myself.

NOT MY WEEK

the week started by my breaking the wires for the tennis bracelet. that was after i finally figured out how to get the cubic zirconias onto an acceptable wire. i think i killed the better part of a week on that. and now i have to order more wire.

to complete the week, i made a bracelet for an excursion tomorrow. after several tries i got a triple strand braclet done. i was showing it off and found that an end of the slide clasp was upside-down. i'm quitting for now and will restring tommorow.

COMPUTER CRASH

i dropped the computer again. this time i had computer parts spread over the floor. i put it back together, but it was broke! it spent a week getting repaired. all i could do was make jewelry.

when i got it back, the computer was wiped clean. i've spent the last couple days trying to recover as much as i can. it's usable now, but it's not back to where it was.

now i have to set the computer aside and get ready for shows. i have 3 in the next 2 weeks.

SNOW DROP CRAFT SHOW

etsycrest http://groups.yahoo.com/group/etsycrest/ had a craft show in savage on saturday. i sold only 1 pair of earring for $10. but it was a first show that etsycrest did, and i think it was a learning experience.

i was hoping for a rush like when the oklahoma territory was opened. but we didn't have any "snowdrop sooners". i guess i shouldn't have spent the money on those swarovski findings until the money was actually in hand.

i finally got brave enough to make a gold bracelet-with no other metals. the gold was so soft that it was too easy to manipulate. it seemed like every time i touched the gold it bent out of shape! but the final result was worth all the times i took it apart and re-wrapped.

CREST (capital region etsy street team) is having a show in savage on feb. 16. i think i'm all ready-lined up K., got table cloths, set up for taking charge cards, still need to get license,

i just have to make more jewelry.

GOLD AND SILVER BANGLE

i've gotten tired of making those silver hearts and wanted to try someting new. i bought gold wire, but didn't feel confident enough to make a bracelet entirely of gold. my solution was this gold and wire bangle. vee's arm-looks nice on her arm.

i've posted on etsy 5 days in a row. i think each time the number of views of each item go up. i guess the object is to lure them into the shop. then they look at several items. i guess i'll keep posting and maybe a sale will follow.

besides, i'd feel that i'm cheating if i participate in the upcoming ETSYCREST show and i'm not an active etsian.

i gave away 4 hearts a christmas presents. i warned kelly about the twisted wire heart-i gave up on hardening. i think they were well received. debating whether to try something new or contiue with the heart until my snapped zircons are done. to heart or not to heart, that is the question.

i ran the thing thru the tumbler for 12 hours. it's still soft! and it's not as sparkley as before tumbling. i think i'll cut it apart and start all over. one step foward and two back.

TUMBLER WOES

after much frustration i finally finished a couple hearts made of twisted wire. the wire is VERY soft, so i ran one thru my new tumbler (thanks mom). the drive belt on the tumbler broke. i'm left with a very soft piece of jewelry and a broken rock tumbler. i quit!

i let andy get out tonight without snapping any cubic zirconias into their snapsets. so i couldn't do any hearts. i'm hesitatant to start something new because i know i'll work on that instead of the hearts.

i did order some new tutorials on bracelets and a ring. i'm not sure enough of myself yet to design on my own.

BIRTHSTONE HEARTS

i have 3 done and 2 more to go.

i was planning on making a bunch to sell. i have the birthones and some extras for valentines day. i think the first 2 were beginner's luck. or just maybe the silver was harder.

i'll finish the one i have started, then switch back to harder wire. if that works better, i need to buy more wire.

PURPLE ZIRCON HEART PENDANT

i finally got the damned thing done. i've made several of these hearts before, so i didn't expect a problem. for some reason the zircon wouldn't seat properly. after 3 days and much frustration, i finally did it.

it's got some original touches that makes it different from the one that's posted on the web in http://www.wire-sculpture.com/

i plan on making this with birthstones, selling them, and making millions.
